It's not every day you see a baseball legend on the red carpet with his grown-up daughters! Alex Rodriguez, the former MLB superstar, recently shared a special evening with his daughters, Natasha, 20, and Ella, 17, at the premiere of his documentary, Alex Vs. ARod, in New York City on November 3rd. It was a rare public appearance that showcased how much his girls have blossomed.
Alex was all smiles, posing alongside Natasha, who sported a sleek black leather halter dress, perfectly complementing her father's relaxed black suit. Ella, on the other hand, chose a stunning blue skirt set for the event. He also shared the spotlight with his longtime girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, and his mother, Lourdes Rodriguez.
And this is the part most people miss: The demands of fatherhood haven't slowed down A-Rod. He admitted that keeping up with Natasha, who's currently a student at the University of Michigan, and Ella, a high school senior, is quite the balancing act.
In a June interview with Parents, Alex shared his excitement about spending quality time with his daughters. He mentioned, "They're so busy that when I get a little date for like an awesome dinner, I'm so fired up." He also expressed immense pride in their development, saying, "It's just amazing to see them develop with high self-esteem, good purpose, and good intention in their life. And it's great to see them strive to reach their goals.”
He also added, "There's a special bond between dads and girls and it's scary. If I had a boy, I'd probably just throw him out on the field, and it's just less worry. But with your girls, you got to be more protective."
But here's where it gets controversial... When asked about his parenting style now that his daughters are entering new chapters in their lives, Alex revealed that it's "A lot of love, a lot of fun, with like 20 percent stern.” He playfully added, “I think they both kind of fear daddy a little bit, in a sense, where I don't think they want to disappoint, or they know that I have high standards for them.
